In this role, you will be responsible for managing the relationships between the Perenti Group’s Mining Business and Perenti’s Group Technology department.The Senior Business Engagement Specialist operates as the intermediary between Group Technology’s end users to ensure alignment with Perenti’s organisational strategy and our technology roadmap.Some Key Responsibilities of the Senior Business Engagement Specialist – Mining will include:Develop and manage relationships with the Mining Business Unit to help drive their business strategies, ensuring assessment of the Group Technology impact of such strategies.Building an effective and mutually beneficial 'client service' relationship between the Mining Business Unit and Group TechnologyIdentify new systems and infrastructure opportunities based on business unit requirements, and advise on how Group Technology can contribute to business unit competitive advantage,Drive pre-project work such as feasibility assessment, scoping, requirements definition, business case and other related activities, working in conjunction with other parts of the business and Group Technology to maintain engagement and manage expectations,Partner with designated business units during strategy formation to ensure Group Technology provides relevant and appropriate advice to support the exploitation of existing systems and infrastructure.Experience/Qualifications:Experience in the Mining sector preferable in an Operational role, with a Technology flavourDemonstratable track record in consulting or business engagement within a pit to port mining operationStrong understanding of the mining value chain/process and be able to "talk shop" with a range of business stakeholdersAt least 10 years’ experience in mining operationsAt least 4 years’ experience with tools and techniques for defining and documenting functional and technical specification documents,High degree of commercial acumen and strong sense of accountability.As a Company, we promote a collaborative culture at Perenti.
