The Group is an ASX listed diversified global mining services group headquartered in Australia.
From our meagre beginning as a one-drill operation in Kalgoorlie, the Group has become one of the largest diversified global mining services companies.
The Group has built a portfolio of companies designed to provide a complete mining value chain throughout Australia, Africa and around the world.
The Perenti Group plays an active role in the communities where we operate. We are committed to establishing open and trusting relationship with the communities in which we operate within.
We work hand in hand with local communities, engaging with community leaders and providing financial support and donations to schools, orphanages, sporting clubs as well as conservation Groups. In addition, we support local business development by providing working areas, tools and equipment, light vehicles and business training.
We are focused on local development in the communities we operate in, with an annual spend of$786.5 (AUD) million on locally procured good and services. In September 2020, we opened a state-of-the-art training centre in Botswana which has trained over 350 local employees in 18 months.
Supporting sporting success and development
Our Ausdrill Surface business is a long-time sponsor of the Australian women’s national field hockey team, the Hockeyroos. It is one of Australia’s most successful sporting teams, and we take great satisfaction in knowing our sponsorship can help them achieve champion performance both on and off the field, whether it’s winning more Olympic gold medals, bringing home more World Cup titles or adding to their Commonwealth Games gold medal tally.
Barminco is the proud sponsor of West Coast Eagles’ AFLW team. As well as providing direct support to the Eagles’ AFLW team, Barminco aims to increase awareness among women and girls about the vast opportunities that exist with a career in underground mining and to increase the opportunities for and the number of women participating in the business. By partnering with the Eagles team we also aim to encourage more girls and young women to consider STEM pathways and university courses that may lead to a professional career in mining.
